2020 Borough of Teterboro Mid-Cycle Monitoring Forms and Narrative
This document is intended to provide some context for Teterboro’s on-going affordable housing actions and to answer questions attached to the Fair Share Housing Center’s (“FSHC”) questions.
Teterboro is a rare community in which the 20% rule applies. In a nutshell, the Council on Affordable Housing (“COAH”) has adopted regulations (N.J.A.C.5:93-2.16) which limit a community’s affordable housing share of the total housing stock to no more than 20%. Teterboro is one of those communities to which this regulation applies.
Teterboro received Second-Round Substantive Certification from COAH. Teterboro has also received an amended Judgement of Compliance for its Third Round plan. There are 27 occupied housing units in Teterboro, five (5) of which are deed restricted to be affordable to low or moderate income households.
