TAX DUE DATES:  Taxes are due in quarterly installments. These dates are set by the State of New Jersey.

• 1st Quarter: February 1
• 2nd Quarter: May 1
• 3rd Quarter: August 1
• 4th Quarter: November 1

The Borough of Teterboro offers a 10 calendar day grace period for payment of taxes.  Payment must be received by the last day of the grace period to avoid interest; therefore if the 10th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday, the last day of the grace period is extended to the next business day.  Please note that on the day following the last day of the grace period, interest will be charged, reverting to the statutory due dates, at 8% per annum on the first $1,500.00 of the delinquency, and 18% on any amount in excess of $1,500. Therefore, any balance remaining is a principal balance which accrues additional interest until the account is brought current.  According to N.J.S.A. 54:4-67, a penalty of 6% will be charged on any delinquency, accrued in the calendar year, exceeding $10,000.00 as of December 31.
